SAP aims to train its participants to become active, creative in raising ADHD awareness in the society. SAP participants are young individuals. Thus, they are a dominant part of the society and can be highly influential in changing the society’s view on ADHD.

Their impact can be achieved through:

  • Writing letters to governmental sectors
  • Raising concerning issues to organizations or services
  • Changing the society’s prejudice against ADHD
  • Explaining ADHD to teachers, peers and parents.
  • Fighting for an ADHD person’s right to live a more fulfilling life.

4. Project Genius and SAP:

SAP plays an important role in Project genius strategic approach. It is an awareness initiative that encompasses the general public through SAP participants.

  • These students will also station an ADHD booth in their campuses and provide information about “ADHD Support Group” and its services.
  • They can also create on-campus activities such as fun games and competitions to gather funds for ADHD
  • SAP participants and their peers will be included in ’Customer Relationship Management’ database and prospective families and individuals will be monitored.
  • SAP participants can present their acquired ADHD knowledge to the general public in events and festivals.

6. Main SAP Parties:

There are two main SAP parties: cooperative schools/universities and SAP student representatives.

Cooperative School/Universities:

Collaborating with cooperative and supportive institutions of education is vital to achieve successful SAP outcomes.

a)    Schools and universities should be updated about the program’s progress and the students involved.

b)   The institutions should inform the ADHD Support Group of any academic problem a SAP member might be having, as SAP should not affect its members’ academic performance in any way.

c)    School administrators can assist in arranging on-campus campaigns. They can help in finding suitable locations and resources as well as scheduling appropriate times for SAP activities.

SAP Student Representatives:

These selected students will track the progress of the program.

a)    They will organize announcements, create schedules and distribute   responsibilities to other SAP members and peers.

b)   They will stay in contact with the ADHD Support Group by meeting with a member of the group on a monthly basis.

c)    As a result, ideas, notices and even complaints are exchanged between SAP members and the ADHD Support Group.

7. Expected Results:

SAP-acquired information will allow participants to develop a culture of ADHD understanding and tolerance in the society. Students will raise awareness among their families and peers. The peers will, in turn, pass on their knowledge to others. Thus, a domino effect can be developed. This effect will grow until it eventually reaches a great segment of the society. Furthermore, awareness can be expanded through events and activities around the country.
